Lake Mendo spring?

When does the spring bite usually start up at Mendo?

Spring at Mendo should be getting good withing a few weeks to a month.  I have been dying to get out but the bait shop has been out of bait  

Where do you usually kayak to on mendo for your best action.  Now that I'll be kayaking I have to change my approach.  Your article was great, but I thought I'd ask if you have any extra pointers.  After I get my yak   maybe I could get you to show me the way to fish from it.

Some of the most predictable areas are in front of Barn Cove, along the boat in camp ground, and along the bouy line directly to the south of the launch near the dam.  Mendo is small enough though that the fish can be dang near anywhere, its more dependent on where the shad are hanging out.
