I had made a rolling bench for truck beds at the shop a couple of years ago and I wasnt really using it that much so I cut it up and starting with the foundation of the cart built it into this. there will be 2 levels of storage and hooks welded to the rear of the cart for paddles. It will store 2 kayaks in the prefferred position on their sides. Roll it out of the garage and back in when done in there. There will be less steel involved in the next one so the cost will come down some. I will post more pics when its painted and the shelves are in place and the paddles are hung. Anyone interested let me know. Thanks, Craig

Funny, that was my very 1st kayak cart in my garage only it was made of wood.
The steel would be much stronger.

Sweet. A bit similar to what I plan to build with mostly PVC and wood because I don't have welding skills. But yours is much more refined and well-designed. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

That rack will last you forever Craig. You'll probably switch tons of kayak before that thing will ever give.

interested as well. is there a way to have the front short peg removable? It may make in simpler to load an unload (esp the top boat). Let me know what the cost would be

The front vertical bars have to be that length or the kayak could roll forward and out of the cradle. Maybe you can get you daughter to help you load the top one. :smt003 :smt006
