Cool trick Ray.  never thought that ripping off the area just behind the mandible would lead to a clean tearout of the whole GI tract along with the pec fins.  Can't wait to try that on some trout

Thats the way I've done it since I was old enough to hold a Knife. Only difference is that I just shove the knife in the corn hole and start from there. I usually don't pull the lower fins either. Real clean and easy way.
