Hi all
major lurker !!!   

So anyway where does one find acurate wave informaiton for diving abalone
Ocean Cove
Fort Bragg
etc.

Start with NWS forecasts.  Study the buoy observations compared to the forecasts.  Get good at knowing how the period of the swell relates to the wind, and what swell heights are manageable in different forecasts.
