Didn't LL have some issue with selling bait without a license or something last year?  Glad to hear they are back in business.

Good to know. I think I'm going to stick with the trusty swimbaits this trip since I don't have all day and I don't feel like tying trap rigs. Is there much structure in the area? Drop offs? Channels? Pilings?

Lotsa drop-offs if you head South of the pier/launch, near the point. If you head straight out from the launch (East) it's a gradual slope downward. Pilings on the pier if nobody is fishing from it...also, there are some good pilings about 1/4 mile North of the launch.

Sweet... Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I'll probably launch no later than 8. I'll be in a blue scrambler XT.

While ARW muddies up from winds, Paradise muddies up from strong outflows from SPB and the Sac...

Just remember the bottom of a minus low tide hits about 11:30 on the 23rd...then an incoming till late afternoon.  With all the water pouring down the Sac, that water at paradise is gonna be like a latte.  ARW isn't as prone to the muddy outflows as paradise area is...

if you are hunting hallie at paradise you might wait until about noon to launch- water should be starting to clear by 12:30 or so with the incoming.

Huh... Swimbaits don't work that well in latte. Where do you think I've got the best shot at decent water clarity on sat morning?

Damn I forgot about the minus tide.

I'd take a bet on ARW, or the mouth of richardson bay...there's a drop off right there that would probably hold some fish....

If the wind is coming down from the north you will get blown out of Paradise before you can say shit. Paradise isnt protected by much at all. If its east it hits you . If its south east it hits you.  If its west and it comes blowing down over the hill right there say bye bye. If its south you have a little protection down by the clubhouse. BTDT. The upper bay is a mudbowl like SS says.  I did pull one out of the mud there 2 years ago up by the old pilings in 7ft of water.

Probably scrap the idea, with the tides, the current is going to be ripping.  Have to fish the delta or something I guess.

Does it really get that bad out there? Craving halibut, but maybe I'd be better off chasing trout at San Pablo...

MN8V, just got back from walking the dogs and the striper bite is still on (east bay). Ripping tides aren't good for hali but stripers like em. The caveat being, all the fish I've seen have been taken on bait. I did hear of someone nailing em on a hair raiser.

Going to be rolling to Berryessa instead. Early in the season for butts, and should wait for better tides I think.
