Periodically read about attempts to swim from the Farallons.  As far as I have found, there are only two solo swimmers who have actually done so.  The fact that they are going English channel rules is pretty hardcore.  This would be totally awesome to accompany from the Adventure.  However, they'd probably not let a hobie tag along, given all the shark concerns. 

BTW, its a very worthy cause.  I will donate to the SEAL Foundation and/or participate in the SEAL Tribute in HMB in Sept.

Yep, pretty amazing. Last year's attempt by another group was cut short due to hypothermia.
I think this group will pull it off.
