I was thinking of offering my sail as a loan too.  It's not a virgin but a whore would be a stretch.  :smt044

one question: Is it worth buying a sail????

Everyone seems so egger to lend there sail, it gets me wondering:

a.) "hey... try my sail" {mumbling}".... I hated it to death"

b.) ... damn! this is one hell of a club!

Also, what do you think of those little floatie stabbilizer thingies???

I bought my sail back when I had my Hobie tandem.  I haven't used it a lot but it's a fun accessory to have.  I don't think the Hobie AMAs look very effective for stabilization but I am thinking about building some with larger rigid flotation.  There are lots DIY outrigger designs on the web.  The Adventure Island is the true sailing yak  but I think a Revo with the right outrigger set up could be a lot of fun when the fish aren't biting.  I will probably fabricate some sort of custom outriggers after GS5. I'm traveling to Coos Bay after GS5 to visit a friend who has great fabrication skills and tools.

just got the revo ama's. I hope to try them this week. I am not stoked on the well nuts they use to attach them. But they seem like they will work. The fact that you can rotate them up will be nice when not being used. I now want to break out the fly rod and stand! Sailing on the revo is more fun vs. pure sailing. If you want a pure sailing yak the AI is the boat. This is just another blade in the swiss army knife of boats (the Revo).

Cabelas has a set of rigid outriggers and it's 2/3 the price of the SpringCreek version.  It looks similar, but it looks like it only comes in grey and is a great alternative if you didn't want to fabricate.

Here's another variation if you wanted the additional space.
