Straun called me yesterday afternoon and asked me to fly up to little river airport and do a quick dive today since todaywas supposed to be the window. We got up there this morning and rented a kayak from Albion. We went out and the vis was 1-2 feet. It was horrible. Straun got his three and I didn't even look for abs.

On the bright side, I was able to try out my new Rob Allen 7mm suit. That thing is like an oven. I bought it kind of roomy for comfort and was concerned that it might let water through. It didn't let a drop of water through and it was much warmer than my Picasso suit. My Picasso was comfortable but the stitching on the bottoms didn't hold too good. If you get cold easy then you should consider the Rob Allen. It was very warm. If you get hot easy it will probably be too warm.

If you didn't try for abs, then you must have been chumming for fish.  Right?

I was going that direction. I didn't take my Meclazine and we were right by some wash rocks. Straun lost his pry bar and float line so I let him use mine. I was ready to go in by the time he was done.

That's awesome that you got to try the new suit out. I bet you were itching to do that after you bought it. And at least you get to save your ab tags to hunt for some better quality abs once the conditions improve.

Thanks for the report. Glad your new wetsuit worked out so well. Can't wait to try mine out. Bummer about the vis. Better luck next time.
