Sorry everyone for the short notice.

Ryan/LingKing, Bink/Michael, AfroDZyak/Dean, and I will be fishing for salmon and possibly for other species. Plan is to launch from MBK Tuesday morning. I'm hoping to be there by 5:30am, but gotta confirm with others :)

Hope others may be able to join! :D

Hey Daniel:

If you're going out from Monterey, my suggestion (if you don't mind) would be to do the Lover's Point launch and go straight out to the area we were fishing the WSB...200-300FOW is pretty close to shore there.  One of my buddies fished that area yesterday and they definitely caught some fish.  Lots of times, this is where the salmon come "around the corner" and into the Bay.  My  friend ended up going further north above Soldier's Club to that area called "The Slide." Closer to Moss, where they had even better luck.  He came home with a limit, one caught in the LP area.

Wherever you guys launch, GOOD LUCK!!!! I wish I was going with you but gotta work hard this month.  Sounds like a great crew, have safe and be fun!!

Allen

Allen, thanks for the tip! I was actually considering launching from this area also, but Tuk had some good success out over the hotel/Tioga area, which is why I'm considering MBK :)

Still, I would love to try and launch outta Moss Landing for salmon!! However, my only attempt to paddle outside ML harbor freaked me out when my yak and I were literally bouncing around lol.

I hope that we get to do some fishing together after this month when ya got time :)

I have pink fever!

I'm open to going to Moss as well since the conditions look ideal.  Also, there have been reports of PB catching shakers while trolling back to the harbor and this would be a mile or so out.

Either way, let me know when and where.

I wish i was going! But I could never take off on such a short notice. But i was out being a beachbum this past weekend in Monterey and i talked with some of the PB'rs who went out. Report is there's a lot of shakers ripping bait. One PB said he went through a few flats of chovies in a hundred feet of water. All shakers! there are legal size being caught but mostly the under size one.

good luck and have a great time

PP,
We'll be launching at the beach by the small kayak rental shop at Lover's Point.
Be unloading at the left side of the LP closed to the restrooms, then walking the yak to the beach, then moving the vehicle to  the free parking area where Daniel and Michael will guide us to.
