In fact if you want to, I can order the window , you come to Petaluma and I will install it for free. Good karma for me and less out of pocket for you.

Ravensblack thank you so much for the offer, truth be told most weeks I would be packing up for a weekend in SF right now, so a quick stop in Petaluma would be easy-peasy.  But since the Berry slam is going down, we're staying in Sac this weekend and since my office is a 20 min. commute and Hayden had a rugby game in B-F-Penryn at 5:00 it became kind of urgent to get it handled this morning.  Luckily Speedy Auto Glass in Davis jumped right on it and I had it back by 2:00 fully repaired and vacuumed.  Plus I had a rock chip that went AWAL on me a while back and I have been putting off getting the windshield done, so new window, new windshield, and I'm on parking patrol like a boss tonight.

At least they left your mag light!

Totally! and that laser tape measure on the seat next to the 25'er is worth about $70 too, so I was pretty happy to see that - idiots.

Anyway thanks for sharing in my frustration everyone - sometime ya just need to vent and know there are people out there who feel you.

Bummer about the window and invasion. Thankfully you didn't surprise the thieves unprepared.

Similar experience on a north coast river a couple seasons ago. Some young thugs broke windows out of our trucks. By the time I got back to the hotel that night there were messages from the gas and credit card companies who stopped the cards. This was on National Park land so the Rangers tracked the gas cards and watched the fueling stations videos and ID'd the rascals who "were" minors with a long track record.

After a couple weeks of tailing the suspects the Rangers pulled the perps over on a traffic stop. Whattta you know the "kids" were caught with a stolen lap top, stolen hand gun, meth and a fresh dead elk in the back of the truck..outta season and no tag....BUSTED. Last time I talked with the Ranger he said the young'ns were getting a minimum of five years each due to the fact the gun was stolen the day before the laptop...thus in their possession during a crime...bing bing bing...Winners!

Awesome!  I love hearing that the bad guys get caught every once in awhile because it seems like they never do.

Sorry to hear... that just makes me furious to see that happen... the stress it gives me to deal with the aftermath... arg...

But for next time...  This site gives you a google maps of crimes in the related area, I monitor this for my home and my mom's business to see if I see any pattern and give my wife/mom a heads up to lock up and be on the lookout.   http://www.crimereports.com/ [/u]]http://www.crimereports.com/

-type in your address
-select 30 day view
-and watch what gets reported...

Its gives you a good idea of whats going around in your neighborhood for the past 30days,  you will be surprised and sometimes can see a pattern.  If it is alittle out of control.. get a DVR
