Lost a 4-Legged NCKA Member

Just got a call from Zilla.
About an hour and a half ago he had to put his dog Bufa down.
He would like everyone who knew Bufa to hoist a beer this St Patty's Day in honor of his best friend. And from here on at least mention her name once as you hoist one every St Patty's Day.

I didnt know Bufa, but i have lost little ones myself.  A sad day to be sure.  Im raisin my glass right now....to BUFA!!!

My heart goes out to you Brad Bufa was a survivor it's tough losing your best friend. I'll never forget the days and nites at Elk hanging with the Buf and that special tent just for him he was well loved and had a lot of Adventures.

Hanging out with Brad the last two weekends allowed me to glean enough from him about his dog-friend Bufa. Last weekend we had multiple canines in camp and many of their stories were told, and even though Bufa wasn't there, the tales were.

Bufa was one special NCKA dog.  I've camped with her numerous times, visited her at Zilla's home in Tahoe, met up with her and the gang all the way down in the East Cape during an epic vacation.  I was always amazed with how that blind and deaf dog got around, memorized her around camp, and used her nose to find her food and treats.

I know how special that dog was to Zilla and everyone who knew her.  Here's one for Bufa!!!!

I second this quote as I had to put down my ZOE a year and one-half ago.  While I'm working (crossing guard) there are several dogs/friends that come by most days.  They get a cookie (dog) and a scratch or rub and their happy, me too.

I know first hand that words can't say enough...I lost my 17 year old "pup" last May, and I still tear up when I think about him. "Man's best friend" is such an understatement. I was gonna cut myself off after 2 beers tonight, but I just popped another in memory of Bufa. Hang in there bro!
