In the past I would be fishing for salmon at Shelter Cove starting the second Saturday in February.  Hopefully I'll be able to go by early April this year.

Looking forward to a season with plenty of opportunities and hopefully plenty of fish.  I hope you can make it up to the Cove some time to troll with me, Mike.   

Certainly "Good news for a Change".

Last year salmon opening was on a Friday and together with 2 friends from work, we were on the Riptide at HMB with Capt Smitty hunting for salmon. Nobody caught nothin.
My other friend went on the same boat 3 days in a row (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and caught nada. Real bomber.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Here I come Moss Landing!

Just remember that last year we had some hopeful forecasts only to be proven wrong by low returns.
I'm hopeful but not expecting anything until I see it.
