I am planning on making a trip up to Coyote Lake this saturday with the yaks. Just trying to get some insight whether the bass are starting to move up and be caught. Or if they're still deep. Thanks in advance for the info. Fish On!!

This was my favorite lake back when they stocked it with trout and didnt go thru your kayak with A sponge to check for zebra mussels! Havent had A report from there for some time..... You may be able to get A report from Coyote bait and tackle if you call em.... And make sure your yak is super dry! When you going I might join you..... :smt006

Thanks for the tip. I have never fished there and was unware about how anal they are about the zebra mussels. After watching the Classic this past weekend, I have itch bad. Just to get a line wet is good for me. Weather permitting we plan on going being up there 8ish Saturday Morning. So far weather looks good.

We would love to have some local knowelge join us.

Fairly certain neither chesbro or uvas allow boats.  Part of Santa Clara County's closure for all but five lakes

All are closed except the ones listed in my last post.  I'm personally boycotting Santa Clara County parks because of this nonsense and crazy fee's.  So your warned, it will be about 19$ to park, launch, and get inspected.

I was actually considering fishing Anderson Lake yesterday rather than the local bay. However, I was too late to reserve an inspection the day before and didn't want to go there without one. Knowing them, they would lag, and I'd be losing some precious fishing time.

But Al's right with the lake's boating operations. Glad to see that ya asked before going out there!

Good luck if you do go out there!! :D

Last time I kayak fished Coyote (before the inspections) water was low and saw lot's of wild bore roaming around.

Too bad they closed Lexington  :smt011 Lot's of bass and crappie there too.

So we made a decision, scrapping the yaks and heading to loch lomand and save us the hassel. Heard a decent report of 4-6lbers coming out, still deep.

Can someone confirm that the LOch is not being planted?  Its not on DFG list anyway.  So basically the only game there is bass, bluegill, and scenery, which aint a bad trio anyway
