I'm going to be in the city this weekend and the GF has a work event all day Friday so now that the weather looks a little drier (still cold) I'm thinking about packing the trout gear and hitting SPR.  Never fished it and need an inspection, so any tips are welcome and company always appreciated.

Regardless of where you launch, the best fishing is near the boat launch.  It appears that the planted fish haven't move far from where they were planted.  Shallow water near the launch ramp was the hot spot earlier this week.  Good luck guys!  Green worms or green power bait!

Sounds good to me.

I've never been but I take it from what I've read I will encounter the boat launch first?  Sounds like the main recreation entrance is a few miles down the way.

My boat is pretty clean and dry but I'll give it a once over tonight..  Anything else I should know?

John, this is our 2nd misfire on the hook-up, hope to fish with you soon...

I was planning on fishing San Pablo this weekend, so I'll see you guys there. I'll have my yellow Native Manta Ray on top of my silver Honda CRV.

Cheers,
~Greg

First cove towards the dam next to the buoy was on fire last sat.  Green power worm was the ticket. Have fun!
