But what if you don't have service in the area that your pic is because you have well ATT and it stinks in most remote areas. hehe will it still show the GPS spot and does it have to have a 3G network connection to work.

I think I may have the answer to that one. I just took out my Droid phone and pulled up a pic from Shelter Cove from last year. I hit the menu button and it has an option to "show on map". It showed me within inches of where I was at the fish cleaning station. I don't believe I had 3G service there. It has to be the internal GPS data that is stored. I also seem to remember being able to turn off the location option when taking pictures.

When I had an iPhone I could take a picture when I had no service at all and it would still have the gps spot when I looked at it later.
