This is crucial in a debate which I am currently engaged.
Be completely honest please. Feel free to explain what happened.
The outcome will determine how much work I may or may not have ahead of me.
The poll will only run for 3 days.
Thanks,

Not always, but sometimes I forget stuff that you dont really need anyway (like seats, mirage drive, paddle, lunch, etc  :smt044 )

Just the small stuff lunch, bait, hat never forgot anything I really needed for a safe trip. I do two mental checks once while loading then again a block from the house when I get out and check my straps. If I do forget anything it usally on short spur of the moment trips.  Forgot my GPS on a trip to L Mendo and vis was zero but I had a compass and most of the guys were paddling in circles I had no problem.

This one time fishing for halibut at the ARW with FishingJay, I forgot my seat. Good
thing one of our bros had an extra with him and kindly offered it to me to use for
the day. He wanted to leave early so I had no choice but to follow him to his car
and give it back. Sucks big time for Jay kept calling me to his spot where he
limited on halibut. I tried to pedal but it was uncomfortable without the backrest
and trying to paddle an Outback for half a mile or so, forget it. Learned my lesson
big time. I bought a big bin that I can fit all my necessity's for a day trip plus having to get ready the night before helps eliminate forgeting things. Even then,
I still manage to forget something everynow and then. :smt012

I have a check list on the wall of the garage, near the driver's door.  If I could remember to check it, I would never forget anything.  :smt044 :smt044

Ah, the checklist, I tend to forget things, getting old or has it always been like this, I can't remember,,,,,

I built a pretty good checklist but often forget to check it.

Paddled over a mile to a dive spot only to find I had no weight belt,

The GF and I use identical paddles so I took 2 pieces, drove up the coast, got completely ready and found that I brought 2 matching pieces, matching in that they didn't match up to make a paddle,  Duct tape baby, saved the day,

I keep everything I need in a large box so it's all in one place. One time I was going sturgeon fishing in Alviso, but I forgot my PFD. Luckily, I only live ~10 minutes away so I was able to go home, get it, and get out on the water.

I've forgotten my seat and misc little items. The checklist is a good idea, except I'd forget where I put it.

Yes I have. Most notable was my paddle, but Striper Slayer has an outback and loaned me his. He had to go without the ability to back up all day. The morning would have been a waste if he hadn't so I was very thankful.

Other than that I've forgotten some small stuff. No big deal.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

lets see here, well ive forgotten my paddle twice, once had to bag the trip and head the hour back home(bad thing about paddling alone) the other time my partner for the day had an extra, forgot my rods, those are kinda important if you are going fishing, and had to turn around, luckily i was only twenty minutes from the house, forgot bait countless times, and i even post a note on the front door to remind myself to pull from the freezer, but still dont see it, :smt044, i have frogotten my crab ropes, so yeah basically if i could forget it i probably have, cameron
