So I was on my way to Bob's Liquors in Newark the day prior to the Crab n Clam to grab some bait and decided to stop by the Dumbarton pier on my way. There were about 8 guys out there fishing, all were real friendly and they were constantly hooking up with small Leopard Sharks and Perch. Reading about Hooked on Fishing's leopard shark report and ManBearPig's Perch hunt it inspired me to post up what I saw. It was a swift moving outgoing tide and windy as hell so kayaking was a no go for the day, but in the future definitely. I know the area and the fish in it aren't a secret or anything, just thought that I'd share what I saw. Seemed like every five minutes the guys I were talking to hooked a Perch or Shark.

Just food for AOTY thought.

They were using pieces of cut up shrimp from Ranch 99. The bite was pretty consistent for Perch as well as Leopard sharks.

That's right on our backyard Bro.

Never thought of the perch but would like to target it. Tell me when: yak or bridge.

Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.

That perch looked HUGE!  :smt007
Hope I can get down there before 'the perch hunter' sees this, goes there, and cleans up all the big ones.  :smt003   :smt006   :smt005
