My landlords boat capsized s. of Doran, he didn't make it

Just got a knock on the front door from the Sonoma County Sheriffs Department.  The were looking for my landlord's wife.  Apparently he took the little boat out today, God knows why.  Something happened about 2 miles S. of Doran, Golfer reported an overturned boat.  They finally found him in waist deep water but had to send out a diver cause of the rocks.  Anyway if feel so bad for his family... why would anyone take the smaller of 2 boats out today?

Driving was sketchy at times today; boating shouldn't even have been considered an option.

That's truely sad news. My heart goes out to the family. I hate hearing stories like this as it reminds me of my own mortality.

Thats a shame. I live in Petaluma and we hear it every so often. Small decisions that turn big for everyone.

people need to remember we don't float real good, cant breath under water and weren't designed to swim real good, not fishing today is better than never fishing again, my condolences to his family

Sorry to hear about your friend...we were at doran ourselves Thursday and by the looks of the waves crashing out beyond the rock no one should have been out there in the open.
