I have the charter boat reserved for the 22nd of July again for a family fishing trip the day before the big event! I cover all the costs associated with the charter, all I ask for a spot on the boat is a charitable donation to the benefit (Marv). I am not asking for much, just what you can muster. The breakdown is about $50 a spot on the boat, if you can donate more, great. A little less, that is fine too. All the donations will go straight to Marv-Shicken.  Last year we gave to the Mooch fund, and raised a few hundred dollars-I did not count it, just handed the money over.
This year, I am structuring a tournament for the kids involved with prizes for biggest fish caught, same protocol as the big boy tournament!  I am working on prizes, but the captain eluded to a free fishing trip as one of the prizes.  I am open to suggestion on prizes and donations for that too so that all our youth participants can at least get something.

Last year, we only filled 17 of the 25 spots on the boat. I would like to fill the boat, and have made provisions for chartering a second boat if we get enough people to commit. Last year we had donations taken at the campground the day before, and the day of.  I will encourage people to donate early, and send the donation to me ahead of time, so we can get a firm grasp on a head count to see if I need to pay for a second boat or not.

Should be a great prelude to a fantastic weekend with friends and family!

Thank you

Rich Brockman

You da man Rich.

AWESOME that you are doing this again!!

I had a B-L-A-S-T last year with you, your family and everybody else.

I highly encourage anybody interested to do this...ton of fun for a great cause!!

I won't be able to make it up this year (within a few days of Ana's due date!), but I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to reading the reports!!

Sincerely,

Jim

I'm in for sure, and probably my brother and Ryan too.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Gearing up for the trip, rather than buying shrimp fly rigs from the boat, my daughter will be tying shrimp fly rigs for us to use. By all means, if they are supplying the rigs, we will use them. Savana will also be tying them at our camp site for sale too. All money going into the Marv fund.
