yeah, but that's like shootin' deer from your truck.  Scuba tanks, sheez!  A real man woulda gone down on a breath and shot it!  Like they do at Linda Mar.

Just kidding, that's a big ass fish no matter how you brought it up.  I'll have to ask Howard :worship "the king o 'buts" Mckim what he thinks. :smt003

Only guys I've seen come out of linda mar were a pair of tankers with 1-2/3 limits of halibut...

I know a guy who's taken some freediving tho...
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

Rich aka Granitedive slays them freediving in HMB.  Bigeyedave freedives for them at Tomales.

I'll have to get together with Rich sometime (when I get my all my gear together) ...since we are neighbors  :smt002

I just can't believe how guys dive with the terrible visibility at Linda Mar. I 've kayak-fished the area many times this year and only saw a couple of days where the vis was better than the norm. And the fact that sharks do frequent the area.....I'd be a little paranoid.  :smt087

Rich - what's the secret to freediving at Linda Mar....and surviving! :smt107

Maybe I can find the Halibut Chuck lost on his deck at Pedro Point - which is still swimming around secured to a game clip  :smt104
