yup, i dove with you at SWS that day Jim, it was pouring rain... I came away with a gnarly ear, nose, throat infect, had antibiotics for almost 3 weeks.. hurt like hell, see ya sunday.

I wonder if the ocean had these high bacteria levels before humans were living on the coast. 

Probably.   In San Diego there is a seal colony at Children's Pool and that place always has elevated bacteria levels. 

I use to bring some hot water with a few teaspoons of bleach in it to rinse off after my dives there.  Never had a problem.

It worked for me.  I use to be very prone to sinus and ear infections so I took extra care to avoid it.  I also avoid diving in water close to shore as that's where the health inspectors collect the water for testing.  I just use the beach for entry/exit and would dive much further out. 

So I'm thinking how to save a weekend. I've never been to SWS, what route do you take to get there? Do you have to go on 17mile (money)drive? Wheres the best launching area as well as parking. I looked at it on Google just hate floundering like a jellyfish in the surf.

Eric, you know what's funny..I FINALLY cleaned out my car the other day (OK, I had a buddy's son clean it out for me really) and when I was done, what do you think I see on the ground....the bottlecap from the ONE bottle of Gabe's BudLight Lime that I drank at Albion and that you saw in that picture on my ab board!!!
