This website has some good easy recipes for all kinds of stuff, but for those days when all you can catch is bait, these sure sound good.  The video had a broiling "pan" that looked ceramic, and mentioned that it was pre-heated before the sardines were put in it.

when I have a mess of dines, I actually fillet them and grill them with salt, pepper and garlic.  Scale them with a hose.  One of my favorite fish to eat
