Sat. 2/5/11 - Port of Sacramento

I'm thinking of trying the Port at 7 am on Sat.  Company is welcome.

1) Does anyone know what's working now?  Bait or lures?
2) Any bait shops nearby?

Bait and jigging. Penny bait shop sells jumbo minnows $1.17ea for the stripers and medium $2.59 a dozen for the crappie. The bait shop is right down the street from the port ,or right  when you get off the freeway.

I'm hitting the pport Fri morn. I'll post up tomorrow if anything good is going on. Only be there a couple hours before work.

I am going to be there around 8 am with a buddy.  I'm a new guy to this site.  Looking forward to some tips!

Thanks for the fun last weekend boys!  How did the catch end up?  On the way out we ran into a couple that was trolling bull head for bait 4-6 miles up from where we were and had 30+" stripers.  Love to go back.
