I read in another thread that other people have had the same problem.  I think the web site gods are working on it

Try downloading Tapatalk from the store. It takes a few to get use to but works good.

Yeah, switch to Tapatalk, it's a lot easier than a regular browser.  Still takes a lil' getting used to, but you can upload pics ;)

Maybe I'm a cheap bastard, but I don't like the idea of paying for an app so I can do what I used to do without one. I get the same blue line on my droid...or at least I did the last time I tried it. Haven't been on from my phone since. Oh well. Maybe the app will be free sometime in the future.

So, I felt the same way, and will only buy an app that makes sense enough to purchase it.  I've been burned on a few too so I usually insist on at least a trial version first.  But then I found out that its not just an app, but rather a service.  Since its a service which costs money to run and they aren't asking for a monthly fee or anything, felt like 3 bucks was worth it.  And so far, it has been just to be able to upload pics from my phone!  Check out the original post that was made on tapatalk, I think you can get it for the droid for free.

I may break down eventually and get it. I tried looking for the app on my phone hoping it was free, but no luck.

Thanks Al.

maybe its time for polepole and I to remove it from the site... unless many people are using it.

the issue is that its java based and it relies on a real browser, not on safari mobile.

I want to kill it from NCUH, but I use it to chat during the day with other forum members who do not have msger installed.... sigh.. what to do..

the instant message function works on my cell phone but really slowly.  my work's firewall blocks it and all instant message functions so i can't use the IM function during the day, but the blue bar is still there to slow my work computer down.  my work did allow me to use the old chat function though.

I don't think there is an easy answer to the blue bar.  And there are not any other chat/IM packages that I'm that happy with.  May have to give it some time and let the packages mature a bit more.

That being said, I do get IM's every day, so the system gets used by at least me.  :smt002

I have the same blue bar issue on the IPad and there is not a tapatalk app available for the IPad.  It's not a critical issue, more an inconvenience.

What if I wrote a script, that if it detects that its a Iphone/Ipad browser to not show it at all?

What if we asked the package provider to do that?   :smt002

BTW, it's not just Iphone/Ipad.
