Have an anniversary coming up in a few weeks. Wanted to take a Friday/Sat and stay in the Pr Reyes/Tomales/Bodega area. Idea was to head up Friday hit a few wineries. Then head west. So any recommendations? Need some cool places to see/taste then a hotel in the area.

Thx
-Eric Berg

Bodega Bay Lodge or the Inn at Tides both have specials this time of year the Tides Restaurant is OK The Duck club is really nice $$$$. Nicks Cove in Tamale Bay is Super, Hog Island Oyster is fun, River's End at Jenner has Great Food and Super Sunsets. Then Take River Rd nice tour at Korbel and a lot of Quality Wineries off Westside Road, or go to Healdsburg take Dry Creek Rd lot's of Wineries and at the end is the Dam and Hatchery with Steelhead. I think the Steelhead Fest in Healdsburg is 2/12. A little North of Healdsburg is Francis Ford Coopola's Winery witch is pretty amazing and Rustic is pretty good and Fair pricing.

Mike's recommendations are spot-on.   If you go as far north as Coppola in Geyserville, and want to do more you can then head east from there through the valley, more wineries, great countryside and into Napa Valley.......

Wildflower in Freestone is good to.

For the GF and I Wildflower is a +5, get there say 8-10 and have a hot sticky bun, and depending what you're into, take some time to stare at the big picture on the wall, the more you look the more you see.

Also if you make it to Sattui, (St Helena) pick up a bottle of Madeira for a night cap,

I've spent allot of time in that area but seems allot of the high points have been hit in the replies, again, it really depends on what you guys like, but for us, some clam chowder to go from either the Tides or Spud Pt and a quick drive to one of the Sonoma coast beaches to eat it on a blanket watching the waves roll in is good stuff.

Hope you have a great anniversary,,

Thinking a nice drive up hitting some wineries on the way. Check in and relax before a good dinner. Next day some stops at (hog island and other local foodie, type places). Then head home. Just happy to be away from the kids for a few days.....Can't wait to sleep in!!!!
