I'm thinking of a pre-fish next Friday...

Got the Fellas...      worst kayak dog ever... 

Probably just going show up late morning and drift power bait and worms,

see what happens and need to talk to staff out there...

will post in Hook ups and here as I become more solid on this....

  would love to meet you up there on the Pre-Friday . but they (the VA) changed the day of my class for amputee peer visitors. sorry cant miss that i love my fellow vets and they need me so i will have to bow out this time but most of the time i keep Fridays open for fishing. next time. I will still be there for HOW on the 18Th. and i know i am going to get the biggest fish.

 That's the spirit!!!  we have a few small prizes for a mini tourney...  rules & regs will be figured on the fly....

If ya have a few buddies who are interested in coming on Friday, 2/18, just let me know...

 Even if they don't want to kayak,  they can grab a rod and fish the shore for free...

I have a group license for vets and all fees are waived for the park...

just let me know and I'll get them a pass or we will figure out something....

Received the Reservation for Eagles View for 2:00 PM 2/17 - 12:00 PM 2/18 today in the mail. "Lets get this party started uh huh uh huh"

I've got a bunch of duck sausage, happy to bring some.  Have you picked a start time yet?  Anything else needed?

The more I think about it,

The more I like the idea of a late start...

this would be better for the wounded warriors coming in at their ease...

 So just arrive all through out the morning... get out and fish if ya want, maybe a few vets get there early and get them out, if they want...

Some will be camping the night before and be out for sure in the morning,

we'll take over beach view... set up...  slowly get everyone paired up and safety issues...  Lunch, and out for a afternoon of fishing...  kinda all day affair...

  This makes sense and is already taking a ton of stress off me....

if some go out, great.... lunch around noonish, and fishing through out the late afternoon...

bring any grub you have... we should have people who will be on shore making things happen...

Thanks for taking care of the reservation. Does the fee include entry to the lake? Do we have to pay in addition to that? Are we doing a group feed with any organization, or just bring food and share deal? I guess when we get closer we can talk some about it. I can bring a trailer full of firewood. Plenty for a night plus the next day if we need it.

I'll check with EBParks. I know last time there was confusion on parking $. Everything else but the Q-mussle inspection should be covered. Don?

Well...

For those coming a day early, state that you are there for the group camping " Eagles View ", you still have to pay for launch/ daily fishing permit ( if you fish ), quagga ( have to anyway) and parking, the parking thing was confusing cause there are parking passes for the group site...  but I think they only dish them out for every 4th or so person arriving.. sill not sure what happened there... basically, we are not getting any special privileges for the day before..

but for the 18th... were all good...

Well,

 I don't want to sound doom and gloom,  but it looks like were heading into a fairly long wet pattern starting around Monday/ Tuesday...

could just be showers, but days of it... The " Alarmist..." TV News... are stating

  " Significant!!!.... "  rainfall,  probably more North than here....

 We'll just wait and see....

Bigfoot... what is the rainout policy on the campground?  I would hope they just honor another date....
