Saturday morning had a close call with one 25 yards distant and moving, no shot opp. Saturday evening late, point blank, still not the proper opportunity. Heart pounder for sure!
All the action near the road.
Pics of the camera doing it's hunting in the same zone. Tracks mean they are there!
Fantastic weather, both for hunting and camping.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Thats sweet Juan!!!  Love seeing this pics so much i'm thinking of buying a trail cam myself :smt003  I've noticed a game trail on the other side of the river in my back yard and want to see what keeps using it!  Also thought it might be fun while camping to capture the Coons on camera  :smt044

Or even better catching them coons on a fishing rod with a piece of chicken bone tied to the end of the line!!  :smt003
Speaking of that Al, did you get any hits on your setup that night at Forebay?

Tried and Failed  :smt044  We could hear the coyotes out there though!  Should have cast it up the hill instead and might have had a good hit  :smt005

I, for one, hate racoons... big trouble makers! On the way home I saw a road-kill 'coon and went out of my way to run it over again. They pilfered our camp this weekend.
A fellow yaker jumped one out of it's bed Friday, same thing on Saturday for my camp buddy. He showed me pics of the bed, and it looks like the grass-nest of a dinosaur! It was a 200 lb big-boy!
In camp we were sitting on our coolers in the shade during the middle of the day, when all of a sudden we hear excited barking from across the campground. Next thing you know a jackrabbit comes hauling ass right by us, not more than a yard from us! It was funny as heck, lots of laughs when recalled later.
Saturday mid-day I also watched a 3 legged bobcat pounce on a mouse and then eat it. It then lounged in the glorious sunshine out in the open hillside. I was doing the same, except for the mouse-eating.
Can't wait to hit it again.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

the coyote looks like it's well fed......those campgrounds seem to hold lots of life.  Trail cams are cool!
