Selfishly, I claimed the can although it will now belong to The Team.

Wow! but what should we put in it?  apples? rain? very small rocks?
Maybe dice? or Jalapeño stuffed olives?
Very exciting

It was tough watching Jebidiah T take it that hit. Almost had me gagging too.
So glad I didn't step up to open it.
Thanks JT!

Bear Can o Dice!! Very Exciting!!

However, I do enjoy jalapeño stuffed olives!!

Hey folks,

Went fishing off SoCal (Sunset Cliffs) Sunday with Jebidiah Tubbs and came across some interesting trash

Pic 1 is the obligatory 1 flip flop, a squirt gun, and a giant bobber

Pic 2 is a half a gallon of milk (expiration date Aug 2, 2014)

It should be noted that we were anywhere from 1.5 to 2 miles offshore in the kelp beds in calm seas.  I also found a container of Unibutter but I'm not considering that as trash.

Hydro, that's awesome that you're spotting trash for later clean up from the air.  I'll hand giant trash bags at the clear lake event for people to compete for the trash prize

I do believe I'd have to pick up a tire if I saw one floating or on the beach.  Those things are more toxic than most people realize.

Thanks for supporting a cleaner Clear Lake Rockfish!!
There are 2 tires in the photo that are targeted for extraction. This is in the state park area and close to Kelsey creek. Since you are supporting a clean up competition I will let them be. If the tires are there after the tourney, I will go get them.

After Team B-port started reporting on a team only venue, this thread died. As I reactivate my participation here, Ill try to re-stoke this fire.

Its about that time to start coming across pumpkins floating down the river here. Have no fail, I'll find 3 or 4 every fall.  :icon_pumpkin:

I've still got the work in progress for you.

Very exciting!   It will go to all team events, so it is likely that you will see it in this thread.

Wanted to get one more shot at cleansing haunts 1 before the rains and water level rises.
The last few years of drought has made my favorite fishing grounds accessible for trash removal and we have taken full advantage. While keeping with the Halloween spirit, it feels good to say
 "This house is clean".
We also managed to get some fishing in, and it ended up being the day of the Kraken.

While some good trash was collected of the river, I thought that this time id share some river keeper work. Dry creek running into the Russian was strainer on the right and limbo on the left.
We of course chose to limbo and then got out the hand saws and cleared the strainer.

This kind of work continued.

Its still easy to get wrapped and strained while trying to clear those hazards.
