how come each weekend the ocean rears its ugly head and during the week i am left to sit here at work looking at calm waters in carmel and monterey and pacifica?

i dont like this.

maybe if it calms down a bit by sunday it would be a good day for crabs.

anyone going ocean fishing this weekend?

Hi Chuck,
In fact I have caught a few of these spider crabs while diving but I stopped picking them up because they had no flesh to speak of in them. In fact after cracking a few legs and finding nothing worth eating, :smt012 I had to discard the whole crab. I don't think they are the same species as the Alaskan King crab.

Find a second hobby.  You can't go fishing every day.  What about weapons.  Firearms. Hunting.

I was catching so many RockCrabs I figured I will keep the Spiders and just mix the meat together.
Problem was the Spider have almost no meat.  Next time I'll throw them back.  My bad.

hopefully you were able to wedge a little work in during those flat spells!

it's the only hope a young surfer has to get ahead in life,  :smt009.

No, I mostly laid around with paraphernalia and listening to the Dead- wasted youth-I started pretty late on the work thing.  I didn't realize for proper balance in Life, I needed to FISH as much as possible!
