I figure by now everyone has their own favorite fishing glasses, but I thought I'd throw this out there.

These are safety glasses, they block 99% of UV light, are featherweight, have a 2.0 reading (knot tying) insert, (bifocal), are virtually unbreakable, AND they are under $10.

I got these at S&S tool in Martinez,

I'm really hard on glasses and tend to lose allot of stuff OTW so these are my go to glasses for yak fishing.

Pardon the model, but I was the only one available.

Thanks for posting that Dale! I recently found the safety/readers which are great and priced right for the 50 something crowd.
I've lost enough eyewear to buy a couple kayaks easily.......

Yep, the thing is when I went cheap on glasses (and knives), I stopped dropping them over board,  :smt005

Although, I still occasionally donate pliers

:smt003 heh, i really wish i didnt' know what you meant by that. used to buy the expensive stuff too and it never lasted more than a few days or weeks before it got broke.

so, took a tip from my friend who sang the lead on "cheap sunglasses" and started buying gas station varieties. last way longer and not so hard on the wallet when i do lose them.

am just shy of 1 month post cataract removal. it's driving me nuts at work cause of the safety glasses requirement and the 2.50 readers conflicting. can wear one or the other but not both.. but need both. so, off this weekend to the local hardware for a set of the split visions. i need to see up close, darn it!
Why so many typos ? You try typing on 6 mm virtual keys with 26 mm thumbs...

Yeah, at work I gotta wear safety glasses 100% of the time, I can see perfect at about 3 ft but my work in a lab also requires allot of computer work, (still with safety glasses on) at work I wear the clear version of the ones in the pic above.
