I have the Outback and love it for the stability.  Would love to have the Revolution for its speed.  In another word, I like them both!  :smt003

Outback for stability and cofmort, as well as many more pimping abilities  :smt002  But it's become my freshwater boat, now almost always using the X-Factor for the salt.

Just re-read this post....I couldn't find it earlier.

I like the OB's stability and roominess for gear/upgrades.

Thanks for the input, keep bringing it...won't be looking to buy until spring, if I do.

Another question: Can the OB be used with Yakima J-hooks?

I don't see why not.  I might need to do some weight-training though.

Keep the input coming.

Thanks

If I had to choose it would be a Revo or a Pro Angler...skip the outback completely.

You can buy a Revo and an Outback for the price of 1 Pro-Angler  :smt003

I don't think a Pro Angler is in the cards.  Too big.  Too much money.

Do YOU get to choose?  Great job this year...wanna sell a yak?   :smt003

Bryan, didn't you just purchase your 2nd sport?  Are you looking to upgrade and will you keep the sport as a buddy boat?

With your style of run & gun fishing, you're probably better off with the Revo.

And yes, the Outback will fit on J-racks.  I have pictures on my home computer that I can post later.

If you end up getting another new yak, can I purchase the paddle?  :smt044

I bought the new sport to replace the old sport.  I really love the sport, it fits me well.  That will stay my main yak.

I paid too much on my taxes this year and I am getting a decent chunk back.  So, I've been thinking of my buddy boat...my old sport, and it's a bit limiting size-wise for a variety of people.  All my buddies would have to be short like me!

So an outback would be a better option (?) because it would fit a larger person and would be stable enough for a newbie.

I need to test out the revo for stability.  If I feel that a newbie would be comfortable on it, then that would be a good choice.

Which is more maneuverable?  That's one aspect of the sport I really like, I can 180 that thing with two quick paddle strokes.

HB

Dilbeck, unfortunately Al bought the only padddle I have available.

I liked the added deck space of the outback, but ended up with the Revo for it's speed and it's always better to have something bigger for the salt.  Since you're mostly bass fishing, how about adding the spring creek stabilizers?  That'll take care of any stability issues for newbs and you'll be able to stand and cast.  I just installed mine and can't wait to try them.
