Just want to get some info about how thick the kelp is at Shelter cove and how far do we have to go to fish for ling cod and salmon.  Is the kelp thick enough like at Lover's pt that we have to paddle our Hobie's.

Easy paddling with no kelp and it is anywhere from a half mile for rock fish to a mile out to the bouy for salmon and rock fish.

Jacks is right - there's not much kelp at all until summer and even then it's nothing compared to places down south.

Rockfish and lings can be caught within about 100 yards of the launch!!!  That's no shit, but of course the best fishing is from about 1/2 mile south of the launch arching across the reef to about 1.5 miles southwest of the launch.

50 pages...  That's child's play!!   :smt005

How could he?  The second that he posted the time, it's already passed that precise moment!  :smt003
