I was trippin' when I left out Joe's awesome GS4 vid!  Check out the who's who of NCKA as he winds his way through the potluck at peak hour!  Good Times!!   :smt001

I'm hoping to finalize some details very soon and get registration open before the end of the month.

There's another "nicer" hotel (read higher rate) next to the Tide Inn.  Maybe Eric can "negotiate" for an NCKA's rate.

I called the Tides Inn this morning and got the "sold out" news too.  It's hard to believe they have sold out before registration for the event has even started. Last year they had a one night free with two paid.  Hopefully there will be a similar deal somewhere in town.

You guys should just rent a house. There are LOTS of vacation rentals @ The Cove. I remember Phil Northern Boy and his lady rented a house for GS3. I'll try to get some recommendations from people up there, but I know this one is like $150/night and pretty close to the campground & launch: http://www.cyberrentals.com/rental/p252359
This one is pretty sweet: http://www.sheltercoverealty.us/bin/web/real_estate/AR202436/ACTIVATE_FRAMES/RENTALS/Shelter+Cove/1290651126.html

I've stayed at the Beachcomber - it's a good spot right above the campground and has space for gear and cleaning without a lot of traffic.  The high-rise hotel just south of The Tides is a good spot and the restaurant on the first floor is good.  I once stayed at the motel, which is right at the top of the boat launch road - lots of traffic, but very close to the action.  There are many options.

@redwoodfox - check out the launch, the fish cleaning station, the campground and deli (try the fish and chips), abalone point (drop some ab guts right into 15-20' of water), black sands beach at the north end of town...  You're gonna love it!   :smt001

I just reserved a room at the Shelter Cove Inn, next to, and across the street from the Tides Inn.  They don't have the 3rd day free deal but the rates are a little less than the Tides, and they have rooms available.  I ate dinner at their restaurant last year and the food was pretty good.
