EWB-

It is a sliding sinker

Sliding.  The arrow shaped variety is better than most because the bored hole is usually coated and smooth, preventing line fraying—something egg sinkers don’t do well at all.  This is a good sinker for live bait like shiner perch or bullheads.

BTW Great looking Lure, should work well for ocean trolling.

Egg sinkers or barrel weights work just fine for sliding weights. If you buy the cheap ones you need to smooth the edges a bit. The line is far less likely to wrap and break around these than sliders.Always put a bead at the knot to protect it.

HAHA I work from home. So lunch hours don't usually involve eating. Jim, yeah its funny we (daughter and I) were at Harbor Freight this weekend and she asked to see a small screwdriver she then went about 'fixing' all the screws she could find in the cart and display racks...very cute.

Looks really Promising I would try one may be fill the squid head with a chunk of styrofoam to keep it up from snagging, while the weight spins and bumps the bottom
