Build it and they will come. It was a voice I kept hearing.. As it seemed like every NCKA'er I'd met and fished with was catching monster WSB, near my hometown of Monterey; I was ready to go, but the voice said, build it and they will come. My last chances to stock up the frig with rock cod came and went, because the voice was always there.  Build it and they will come.  When I heard tales of big stripers at Del Valle the voice was with me.  The best early season skiing in many years is upon us yet I stayed home cause the voice told me to!  :smt010

The race was on.   As some of you know we've been rebuilding the wife's family home. Took that sucker down to the subfloor and added 800 square feet. After many setbacks due to flaky designers, flakier contractors , and time consuming and costly city regulations, we were finally rolling full steam. Every weekend for the last several months has been full of must get it done tasks.

The voices were screaming, build it and they will come!!!!   Somewhat unfortunately, with one final inspection and about two weeks worth of work still to be done the voices were laughing at me saying, They are coming.

HE HAS COME.  Welcome to the madness William Katsumi.  :smt026   :groupwave

It's 4 AM .  I sit in my house full of, two homes, 3000 sq ft and two garages of stuff; still waiting to be stuffed into a new 2300 sq ft home. We can't even get all the way down our hallway. There is barely enough room for us and a crib. However it's 4AM, , My formerly restive son has been fed and is sleeping in my lap as I one finger type this note.  I suspect I'm going to have to change his diaper soon.  :smt012   My first born son is barely 36 hours old, yet I already know I hold a prize worth more than any AOTY award.   My little bundle of Hapa Happiness -------  Insert band music and hallelujahs   :hello2: :smt041   :smt040   :angel13:-----  Born on 12/10/10 @ 4:09 PM ( cause the world ain't ready for Baby 4 10 ) - 7 lb, 15 oz and 19 inches. The future president of the US of A; the next Albert Einstein, Carlos Santana and Joe Montana all rolled into one.  He's a keeper.  I don't need no stinkin' WSB.
---- Anyway there is always next year.   :smt002

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. ~Henry David Thoreau

Congrats.  Beautiful picture, handsome little guy.

Your life will never be the same.  And if you weren't able to get out before the birth of William, it won't get any easier now.
