Many have tried, everyone has failed sooner or later.
Seriously, everyone that I am aware of that has created a pvc frame has had it fail miserably at some point or another. All of them have ended up dropping the $$$ on the wheeleze cart after a few frustrating trips.

Any reason why you don't want to use your scupper hole cart anymore? I know it puts stress on the scuppers, but it seems to work ok for most people who use that style.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. -Jimmy Buffett

I'm just kinda worried on those long pulls with all the gear in the yak i may crack the yak around the scupper plugs.

Alan has been using an old school PVC cart for ten years. It may fail, but I believe he got his $15 worth.  I wouldn't trade my Wheeleze for anything. :smt002

Mine has been going good for almost 2 years, but I wish I had the Wheeleze for all terrain use.

the cart i have now has wide knobby tires, It goes fairly well on sand. It expands side to side also, I can pull it out wide enough to cradle the yak, was trying to figure out some way to attach some horizontal rests on  it.
