A biotech company called Exelixis.  They decided it would be smart to change the business model and dissolve all research and development and put all money in one compound that is in clinical trials.  the compound is doing really good but our R&D section had made a ton of cash for the company through deals with big Pharma.

Damn sorry to hear it, Tom.  But yeah, consider yourself lucky on the severence thing.  Many of us breath a sigh of thanks to Neptune when our paychecks don't bounce these days.

On the plus side, maybe we'll see you n your better half at some hookups?

Tough time to be looking but things seem to be shifting for the better, slowly but surely.

All the best, man!

And they keep reporting that the recovery is underway!  I received a 40% increase in my health insurance premiums this week.  It looks like the insurance companies are raising rates to make up for the new governmental requirements. I'm just not seeing the recovery!

Thanks all-
Yeah, the timing sucks but I guess that is part of working in the bio-tech industry.  This happens all the time, not my first, but hopefully my last.  but ya know, every time things have always worked out, no reason why it should not this time as well.
