Having to box up someone else's life does put things into perspective, it will also make you much stronger bro.

Remember that life is precious, that includes your own.  Each day can be our last healthy or not.  So dont let the weight of it all keep you from breathing and living yourself.

I'm not so much a part of other communities on the internet.  When people (many of whom I've known for years) have experienced loss and pain here, at NCKA, I have found that the condolences and thoughts expressed mean so much, and I've benefited myself, very much, from the caring that is present here.  Sean - I'm really sorry for your loss.  I still haven't finished cleaning out my Dad's garage, and it's been nearly 3 years.  I want to say that those things expressed by Brent and Eug above are resonating with me.  The very very hard lessons of living through the death of someone close are things that are some of the most powerful forces in our lives.  The good that can come from your involvement in them is something that can hardly even be measured.  Peace be with you, Bro, and I look forward to knowing you in person too.

My condolences. On my side, first, it was my dad, then 2 years later, my mom. Then this year, my brother. The hardest was knowing that now I'm an orphan: without a dad and a mom. Sometimes, I just find myself staring at nothing and thinking that I have no mom and dad to go to.
Just like you, I find the kayak and the ocean a big help in dealing with the stresses and loneliness of life.

So sorry Sean I lost my Sister in much the same way and the same age as your brother. I was so worried about her kids and my Parents that I didn't allow myself to greave and it took me a long time to let go. You don't have a lot of people that have known you your whole life and it's tough. The bros that we both have on this site helped me out a lot so if you need anything we are here for you.
