Why aren't the stats up for the 2006 AOTY season?

History was made & the story should be told.

Please add 2006 to the forum. Thank you. jim

I'm sure those that participated would know/remember what fish they caught and how big they were. Might be as simple as pm-ing those folks. Of course some of those lengths might have grown over the years.  :smt002 I think it would still be very worthwhile to persue the stats for posterity's sake. I would love to see what went down as that was the year I joined and I don't remember any of it. I was too busy falling out of my kayak, vomiting, and getting skunked to follow AOTY at that point.  :smt003 jim

Cool. I think it would be great to get both 2005 and 2006 up for all to see.
I didn't even know that Freddie took 2nd and KZ took 3rd in 06'. jim

I don't think there was an official 2005 event, was there?  I think it was sort of after the fact.  Over the winter, the question was asked, "who is our angler of the year".  And people started posting the amazing accomplishments of that year.  And then ... the AOTY as we know it was born.

Ya, it was actually an official event. We actually held the awards ceremony at Ono Hawaiian Grill at HMB (when it was still open).

Here's the link. Unfortunately the pics were somehow "X" from the report....

Here was the un-official AOTY thread for 2005..

Yeah... 2006 was a great year... back when I could actually go fishing more than a couple times a year.

My most memorable catch was this big mama... my AOTY point factory... 27 inches and 11 pounds... one of my most memorable fish ever.

My striper was bigger!! But I didn't enter the striper pot. It was species by species that year.
