I'll be launching at Doran at 8:00 on Thursday, anyone interested?  Providing I can find some crab rings to buy for a reasonable price.  Outdoor Pro in Rohnert Park has them for $29.00, a-bit steep for me.  Walmart and Sports Authority are sold out.

There is a salvage yard in Santa Rosa that is selling them for $12 to $14 depending on which ones you want. I bought 2 of the $14 version and they worked great. The yard is on mountian view rd off of Santa Rosa ave, near Friedman bros. Its a funky place but the best price I have seen....for rings. Wish I could be there but I gotta work. Ive been launching next to the jetty and droping my rings and my promar t102 in about 10 to 20 feet max using mackrel for bait. I usually drop my traps have a beer check and repeat.

I bought my rings last year at Fishery Supply for around $20 included tax and 50' rope.  Address below:

Thanks for the info folks, on where to buy gear.  I ended up buying 5 rings from Bataef salvage on mountain view in S.R. they were $ 12.00 a piece.  I had hoped to crab tomorrow but to much work (mixed blessing).  Maybe in the afternoon or Friday.
