HMB Crabbing - Saturday, November 13, 2010

Looking to do an early morning (5:30 AM) run at the crabs on saturday morning.  This will be my first outing for crab off my kayak so it would be great if some people want to join.  If anyone wants to do a friday night run instead of a saturday morning run, I would be up for that as well.

5:30AM is a bit too early for me. I plan to launch at about 9AM. Maybe I'll see you OTW.

Check the surf report, looks like it might be monster swells this weekend.

Whats the forecast look for sat?

8-10' swell 5-10 mph winds.  Surf looks much better next week.

I want another Dungie limit so I'll probably go Sat or Sun. Sunday looks a little smaller than Sat. so that may be the day for me. Swell coming in from ~303 deg. so bay will have decent protection.

So the swell is still looking pretty big on Saturday, but I am still thinking of giving it a go.  Wind is a lot better on Saturday, but swell is better on Sunday.  I am currently thinking of arriving at 6:30 AM instead of 5:30 AM so I have better light to judge the conditions by.

Ben - were you talking Baker or HMB?  I'd like to hit Baker later in the morning - closer to noon.  But it looks like it could be big, so I'd want to scope it out. PM me if you want to go.
