So, does anyone have any intel?

My latest says that the squid are elusive, but that some good wsb have been landed over the last week. Largish swell pushing over the last two days, but tomorrow looks easier, with mixed sun/clouds and air temps around sixty. If I go, it will be a 7:30 launch from MBK or Lovers Point.

Let me know what you think

This is a hit and miss fishery, but time on the water pays off, right?

Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

I know the water has been nasty the past two days. Very big swells and breaks near lovers. Talked to A guy @ Royal Seafoods and he told me the fish were very scattered. Good luck on your hunt!

If I get my act together tonight, I might make it down there Friday, probably won't be early, maybe 8.  I'd rather hit LP, I'm thinking the swell is subsiding and wouldn't have to wrap the Pinos to get around.  The weather is too nice not to try, and I've been busy all week on other stuff.

Got loaded up faster than I thought I would.  7:30 LP looks possible.  I was hearing the swell roar all night for the last couple of them, now I can hear it, but sounds much weaker.  If it looks nasty at LP, I'll go back to MBK.

Okay Tom, LP sounds better than MBK for speed, I'll be looking there first at 0700. MBK as plan B.

Hope there's fish around!
