Tomales Action ? Anything going on this time of year?

Thinking about getting some crabs this weekend and was thinking about Doran or Lawson's. Any action for fishing at either location? I figured I would try surf pearch at Doran and see if any halibut are around in either location.

I was out @ tomales monday, wasn't a hint of any action.  The water was the color of super concentrated iced tea though, may have had something  to do with it.  I was told that the halibut are "supposedly" there year-round though.

In tomales bay, try fishing for leopards, just use squid on the anchor. I caught a nice leopard this year while drifting frozen herring for halibut so that works too.

I recommend fishing for leopards also - especially if you like catching bat rays, which is all I've been able to pull out of Tomales.  Fun to fight though!
