Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Just how technical is the Russian river this time of year?   I don't live up there, but I would have thought it would be mellow enough to rescue her with an inner tube and a valium.

But I wasn't there....
Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

Uh, yeah, I would think you could pretty easily swim ashore just about anywhere along the Eel or Russian right now.  Sounds like these two adventurers weren't in possession of the right equipment, training or capabilities...   :smt009

Maybe we'll get more on the story...

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.

Perhaps her age had something to do with it?

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Maybe they tried to run the rocks below the summer dam can't think of any other rocks in that area. Pretty tough to make it, the water was a lot lower that this shot.
