Anyone one else dissapointed with it?  I made it to the show Sunday, and this years show compared to previous years shows seemed
to me to be a lot smaller.  There appeared to be way more boats in the main pavillion, (taking up[ way more booth space.  Two of the smaller
pavillinos surrounding the dog show area were empty, last show I made, both of those smaller pavillinos were stuffed with vendors. They were meeting rooms this show.  Lance Campers wern't there (maybe they packed up and left saturday?)
I was able to bring home another micro-lite rod /reel combo though.  It's the Zebco Ice combo (thats what was on the label.  I figure it's work fine for small fish (blue-gil/crappi) and the occiosnal trout.  Whole thing is just about 2 feet long!
so, how many made it and found it dissapointing?

Hey jprtroy,

What can I say but DITTO...  The Fly fishing area / demo's were pretty good.  Other than that my 6 yr old loved the splash dog
competition, and you could get all the beers you wanted for $7 before the price goes up next year...  I went to one of the first
expo's in 70's and remember coming home with a bag full of samples (hooks, jigs, line, etc.)  Now I just overflow the recycle bin
when I get home.  Maybe the manufactures don't see the value vs. $$ spent.  I don't think they realize that we go to see what's
new,  not to buy a years supply of tackle...  Just my 2...

Brgds,
Ron

Oh yeah, forgot to mention all the free bumper stickers I used to get, that I didn't get this time around.   Oh well.  I was able to
look at the new Hobie Adventure up close!  It's a biggu'n!  There were a bunch of happy dogs at the splash pool!

Mooch did you go to the ISE show maybe you could give us a comparison?
I thought the Fred Hall Show was much better than the last ISE show I went to.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

The show was a real bust.  I think part of the problem is they charge a ton of $$$ for the booths, so a lot of the smaller, less high end guides, etc can't afford to come and show what they have to offer.  Between the cost of travel, lodging and the booth, a lot of the guides can't afford it.  I had a friend who was a guide on the Snake River and he would have a booth at the show.  About 6 years ago it got too expensive and he quit coming.   It's too bad, I would be nice to see more of the `blue collar' outfits.
ore in my price range.

I also think the Fred Hall Show was better - simply because there was more vendors. But I'll attend both shows every chance I get - it's like my "Disney Land"  :smt002

Vendors were complaning when I was doing the kayak pond two years ago. Guides, fishing shops, etc. The show has been a bit less every year for about ten years now. By the way who are you mooch ,what did you do with hana'pa?
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.
