Awesome Jim!  Wonderful father / daughter experience. She caught her first Halibut. You kept her safe against a balistic flatty. You Da Daddy, you Da Man !!!! Who cares that it escaped!
Next time though don't bother with the gaff or net, just use your famous Kung Fu Grip and crush the suckers head.

Great report Jim. That is some quality time for sure. Sorry about the Hali not cooperating. Those things can be a handful. I second the fishunter's coment. Get her out there being pulled around by a WSB and she will forget about that Halibut.

Great report Jim!  That's what it's all about.  Enjoy 'em when they're young and still want to spend time with you.  They're great at all ages and stages but there's nothing like the times when they enjoy spending time with Dad!  We used to joke about putting them in the freezer so they wouldn't outgrow the wonderful early development stages.
