Anybody know where I can get one? I already have one with a built in 7" gauge which I like but a 9" gauge would be better for me now. For all you 10" hunters out there I did see those iron/10" gauge combos up in Gualala. Thanks, jim

Never seen a 9" bar/gauge combo.

Your a member of the 10" club.

Why do you want a 9" bar/gauge?

Cause 9"ers are easier to find.....than the tens.....if I would just stop and get a good measure on every ab before I pull another clicker.....and another.  :smt003

Matt:
that's not a bad idea.  If one does not have any ideas on how to weld, Are u accepting orders?

sure ! call me 707-478-1504 we can work something out. I however will not be able to put the nice tool dip handle on it. I have tryed to use the tool dip before and it does not last on the irons I find some electrical splicing tape works best !

I have no clue what you're talking about, but it does sound sexy... for ab hunting.  OK.

I wonder if you could have one that attaches with some small bolts. That way you could swap out the guage as needed....Hmmmm off to my la-borrr-a-tory.

I made an iron out of a piece of flat stock steel. Still need to use it.

Bolt ons would be a pita....make it a slide caliper between 7 an 10".  Keep a fixed 7" gauge with you to stay legal.

PS....make me one too  :smt003

I had tried to bolt together a homemade aluminum bar and 7" gauge together previously. I didn't like the bolt head sticking out on one side and the nut on the other. Also I don't like aluminum ab bars cause they can bend too easy. Maybe I need to find a nice SS long bar and tig a SS 9" gauge on it. Probably won't be able to find those goods either. jim

My buddy made me the best ab iron I ever used out of Diamond plate. I loved using that one till the day I lost it at Horseshoe on a rough day.  :smt010 . He cut a 7" guide right in it and I 'm sure you could cut a nice 9" guide in it. He mentioned it was a little difficult to work with.

I would just use tie wraps on both ends, since I carry enough of them around.  Leave the 7" in the float tube or board.

Andy,
Just make sure you check the regs close. I would mAke it a little longer and make sure it isn't to sharp at the end.
