they were unpacking a few at mbk when i was there last weekend - it is a nice ride - i really liked the new handles and the amount of rear storage w/o the cooler option

the lack of the rod pod opening wasn't a hit with me personally but the  compartment is large and watertight.  one thing i noticed was the t-pin swivel for the hatch cover came out of its mounts easily and it would seem a bit awkward to have to get it back in from the seat ... these boats were not completely assembled so there may have been a part missing.  a simple fix would be a small length of SS all thread-an oversized washer and a nut on each side.

overall it looks like a great fishing yak but a little pricey for me ... if it had the rod pod that might be enough to sway me

I felt the same way about the rod pod but that could be easily fixed with a dermmel tool :smt003
I also thought the handles were a great improvement over the old hook hangers
Although the ice chest seemed a bit much I liked the bait tank idea - simple and efficient
The thing i liked the most was all the threaded inserts for the attachments - much more secure

Nice but too heavy for me, 77 lbs without extra gear and options.

Nice boat, but on that price? I'd rather buy me the TORQUE.  :smt003

I dont want to spend $1500 and have to void the warranty - but yes - it is an easy fix

Hi Yakers:

I don't like to Flame but, to $$ and too Heavy. Like the Big Game, the Ultra  will be a hard one to move. I wouldn't mind paying the extra $$$ for a lighter and stronger material but, I don't see where the extra Money went into the Ultras' design.  :smt044
For me the Scupper Pro TW is hard to beat! :smt002

The hull is more from the Prowler lineage.  The deck is more from the Trident lineage.

It is nothing at all like a Big Game.
