Has anyone ever caught anything out of Shinn Pond or any of the adjoining ponds?  I've been fishing there as long as I could ride a bike and have only caught a Catfish (on a diving Rapala) and 3 inch blugills occasionally.  I'm just wondering if everyone else has had the same experiences.

For thoes not local, its a shorefishing only pond in Fremont.  FYI.

No!  I even kayaked it once.  But I've talked to guys who claim to have caught bass there.

Stripers were supposedly stocked in there in the 70's, but never heard of one caught.

I have caught a few bass out of the other pond next door, the one with the three docks in Niles Community Park, (never could figure out what that pond is called) but nothing exciting.

Kayaked it...ballsy.  Nice.  Yeah I've heard the striper tales too.  I've probably talked to the same guys as you that have claimed to have caught bass there also.  I feel lucky to have caught that Catfish.  Oh, and I have no idea what the other ponds are named.  Probably Skunk pond.

Yeah, hiked my yak in once and chilled otw for an afternoon, noone said boo, but the second time a maintanence guy warned me I could get a ticket, (there are no "no boating" signs there that I noticed)...  so I wouldn't try it again.

I wouldn't call that other pond Skunk Pond...  lots of bass in there, but they are small and get hammered pretty good by the locals.
