Anyone?

I'm free Sunday the 15th and Monday the 16th.

Incoming tides both days with noonish high tides.

Weather permitting, of course.

I'm gonna pump my own shrimp again. Much better quality and a lot more livelier.

I could go on the 14th or the 16th.  Tides aren't as optimal... might want to think strategy about where the best spot will be given the tidal conditions.

Now that I have a copy of Abe and Angelo's Sturgeon book, I'll study it up a little and see what they have to say.  Or we could just go to "the spot" and fish the incoming tide on the 16th and see what happens.

The shrimp we got a Western sucked. By 11:30, all the shrimp in one of my tubs were dead. They weren't to lively to start out with either though.

How are you guys "suiting up" for these sturgeon excursions??  From what I've seen on this sight, wetsuits are the way to go for most ocean trips/surf launches.  Erik, it looks like you and Sean are wearing some kind of waterpfoof pants instead of wetsuits.  What about footwear?  I'm a newbie who hasn't bee out in anything other than shorts!

Bob and I are aiming for Monday, the 16th.

I could pull off Sunday, but I have a Company Holiday Party on Saturday, which means I'd miss the low afternoon tide and wouldn't be able to pump shrimp. Plus - who knows how hung over I'll be Sunday morning.

Wetsuits or breatable waders with dive booties.  It can get FUGLY out there so come prepared to stay dry in cold messy conditions.
